Wiebke Drenckhan obtained her second European Research Council grant (ERC Consolidator Grant, 2 M Euros, 5 years). In her METAFOAM project, she will work in collaboration with many teams of ICS to better understand the mechanisms controlling the structure of liquid and solid foams. One of the main challenges of the project is to modify these mechanisms in order to create new foams with original mechanical and acoustic properties.
